Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team on an interim basis in Hawkinge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts department and ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with legal standards.

Accounts Manager Day-to-day of the role:
  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including:
    • Month and end-year process
    • Accounts payable/receivable
    • Cash receipts
    • General ledger
    • Payroll and utilities
    • Treasury, budgeting
    • Cash forecasting
    • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
    • Capital assets reconciliations
    • Trust account statement reconciliations
    • Check runs
    • Fixed asset activity
    • Debt activity
  • Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assigning projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Meeting financial accounting objectives
  • Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions
Accounts Manager Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Manager
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Qualification in accountancy or relevant field
