Food Safety Inspector

Working within the public sector you will be required to support the Environmental Health Team in the role of Food Safety Inspector.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Carry out Food Hygiene inspections/surveys in the district alongside other statutory functions with the Food & Safety Team.
• Gather evidence, writing letters and taking enforcement action
• Ad-hoc duties to support the wider team

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

• Ideally registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board and hold a relative qualification.
• Demonstrable knowledge, experience and expertise in relation to Food Safety.
• Relevant experience of Food Safety and enforcement.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey and receive information accurately with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload
• Able to travel within the district

This is a long-term temporary role requiring an immediate start, offering 37.5 hours per week.
