A new instruction for a Sustainability Packaging Analyst working within the R & D Department of an established manufacturing client.

Duration Etc:
The role is presented initially for a period of 12 months with the potential of an extension thereafter.
Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Flexibility to work hybrid (ie 2/3 days on site) or fully remote depending on candidate experience
Excellent rate of pay
Outline of the role:
The role works alongside Packaging Technicians and Packaging Engineers in the delivery of sustainability projects and qualifications to ensure data provision meets new requirements.
Advanced IT skills are an absolute must.
You will work on packaging engineering programmes associated with meeting corporate sustainability goals, and Global Extended Producer Reports (EPR) regulatory requirements.
Part of the role will be the collation and formatting of data for all primary, secondary and tertiary packaging for existing materials, components and products as well as the packaging data for new materials, components and products.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
The is some flexibility on the ideal candidate - whilst the ideal candidate will have some experience in packaging development, device or hard goods manufacturing, the position is also considered ideal for someone with the following skills and capabilities:
- Firstly, applicants must be digitally savvy – including advanced Excel, Vlookups and Pivot Tables
- The ability to find data, collate and forward to a 3rd party
- This could involve speaking to various departments within the business, but also communicating with suppliers and gathering information
- Would need to be confident in chasing the data in order for it to arrive in a timely manner
- Good problem solving skills, a self-starter who has the ability to connect the information
- Strong attention to detail
- Project experience could be helpful
- Equally, could be ideal for someone with procurement experience who is accustomed to working with alternative specifications for materials and who understands bills of materials
