MAJOR DONOR FUNDRAISER JOB SUMMARY: We are looking to recruit an experienced Major Donor Fundraiser for a wonderful Charity with head offices just outside the Ringwood area.  The successful candidate will be focusing on donor engagement to enhance and build on income and pipeline. As a Major Donor Fundraiser, you will manage your own portfolio of donors and prospects, as well as work closely with the senior management team, including the Director of Fundraising and CEO in relation to stewardship of the top tier of donors.  You will have your own income target as well as other KPI's (based on engagement, meetings held etc) so it will be beneficial if you have worked at a similar level and are happy to demonstrate success against objectives and targets through past experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MAJOR DONOR FUNDRAISER:• Working in close collaboration with Prospect Researchers, taking responsibility for the development of a more structured stewardship programme across all major donors• Working in collaboration with the Trust CEO, Director of Fundraising on projects in relation to the wider major donor programme• Work with the Events team, as well as other third parties and key decision makers in relation to major events, research and advisory services etc.• Work to agreed targets and KPI’s based on your defined portfolio• Take responsibility for the development of a more structured stewardship programme across all major donors• Create streamlined systems to ensure all useful data is captured onto in house systems, for future benefit• Attend meetings with donors and prospects (both face to face, or online)REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:  • A strong background in major donor fundraising is ideal for this role.  • An understanding of Stewardship and the process required, to convert prospects to donors, and to retain longstanding donor relationships• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for the role is essential in this position, and to fit with the wider culture of the organisation • Commercial Acumen – essential – you will need to demonstrate previous experience of budgeting, monitoring and forecasting, working to monetary targets etc.• A good understanding of moves management, the 7-step cycle and similar concepts.• A fast learner who can quickly transition into this role, with support from an experienced, passionate team.For more information about this position, or to apply, please contact Joy Bruce at Collaborate Recruitment.
