Construction Manager:About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to join our team on a prestigious SSE project in Fort Augustus. As a leading tier 1 contractor, we are committed to delivering exceptional results while upholding the highest safety and sustainability standards. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering all site activities, ensuring the project's success within budget, schedule, and quality parameters.Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement comprehensive construction plans, manage resources, and ensure the timely and efficient execution of site activities.
  • Safety and Sustainability: Champion a strong safety culture, adhering to all relevant regulations and implementing best practices for environmental sustainability.
  • Resource Management: Ensure the availability of sufficient personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project demands.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze construction performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address potential risks and challenges, ensuring timely and efficient solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to agreed specifications.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid CSCS card
  • SMSTS qualification
  • Proven experience working as a Construction Manager on large-scale projects for a tier 1 contractor
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
