Location: Cheshire (Nationwide travel)


Hours: 8am - 5/6pm, Monday - Friday (Weekend work also required)


Salary: Circa 40,000 basic Salary + Van + Overtime (Overtime = approx 11,000-12,000 additional per annum) + Travel Expenses + Company Benefits


Company/Position


Our client, who we have partnered exclusively with, is a leading provider of bespoke system upgrades and solutions for automated materials handling equipment. They specialize in unit conveyors, sortation equipment, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) across a variety of industries.


They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced automated materials handling systems. You'll work closely with clients, providing top-tier technical support to ensure their systems operate smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site installation and commissioning of automated materials handling equipment, ensuring all systems are set up to the highest standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on unit conveyors, sortation equipment, AS/RS systems, and other related machinery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by working closely with clients to understand their needs and resolve any technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to identify opportunities for product and process improvements.

Essential Skills
  • A background in mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in fault finding and repairs, ideally within the automation or materials handling industry however this is not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and fix technical issues under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in various industrial environments. Regular overnight stays is expected.
