An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team based in Somerset. This position offers a part-time role, providing the chance to work with children aged 5 to 18 years, delivering high-quality therapy to support their developmental and functional needs.
Location: Somerset
Salary: £28-35 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-Time (within term time)
Band: 6 or 7
Age Range: 5-18 years old
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to children and young people with a range of physical, sensory, and developmental challenges.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and work closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide support and training for families and carers to help facilitate children’s development and independence in daily activities.
- Collaborate with educational professionals, schools, and other service providers to ensure coordinated care for children and young people.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
- Advocate for children’s occupational therapy needs within the wider healthcare and educational systems.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Must be a driver and have access to own vehicle.
- Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, particularly with children aged 5-18 years.
- Knowledge of a range of paediatric conditions and evidence-based interventions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and work with children and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
