Role Overview:

  • As aSenior Mechanical Fitter,you will play a crucial role in assembling VFFS machines and complete packaging systems tailored to customer specifications. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, offering guidance and support on the shop floor. A shared laptop integrated with their Teams system will be provided for seamless communication and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical fitting and assembly of VFFS packaging machines.
  • Collaborating with the Factory Manager to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Completing engineering time sheets to assist with performance data collection.
  • Assisting the Service Manager with machine commissioning.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving during the build process to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Mentoring Technosys Apprentices, providing training, advice, and support.
  • Supporting and maintaining the company's ISO 9001 Quality System.
  • Liaising with and ordering from engineering suppliers.
  • Providing ongoing service and support for installed machinery and production lines.
  • Training customer engineers and operatives post-installation.
  • Participating in exhibitions and other duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BTEC in Mechanical Engineering (electrical experience is an advantage but not essential).
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge of pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with building VFFS machines is advantageous but not essential.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus but not mandatory.
