Job Introduction

Pay rate: £14.00 per hourShift Pattern: 21.00 to 9.00 (7 nights per week)Location: GainsboroughRequirements: UK driver’s license & own vehicle.Unfortunately we cannot provide VISA sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in the Gainsborough area.We are thrilled to offer a rewarding opportunity for an outgoing person that will interact with a 2.5-year-old little girl, she does have very complex clinical interventions but still a little girl that wants love and attention. This girl requires tracheostomy and ventilation support overnight.This is a complex role, therefore applicants should be confident/have some experience with at least some of the above.If you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else’s life then we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities

Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping. The main responsibilities are below:

  • Trachy care and management 
  • PEG care – feeds via feed machine 
  • Medication administration 
  • Personal care including pad changes and Skin integrity 
  • CPAP via vent and Oxygen administration and management 
  • Physiotherapy 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience with Trachy paediatric.
  • Enteral feeding.
  • Childhood development 
  • Complex care     
  • CPAP 
  • Essential:

    • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care
    • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
    • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required
