Nursery Practitioner

The Children's Montessori is a well established nursery run in Gamlingay for over 30 years, providing a nursery, before and after school club and holiday clubs to the village for ages 2-9, from 7:30am - 6pm

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Level 3 Nursery Practioner to join our dedicated team in our Early Years setting.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in proving high quality care and early education to these children.

Nursery Practitioner Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that support children's holistic development 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed child development records and observations
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning enviroment
  • Support and collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals
  • Assist with daily nursery routines, including meal times, nappy changes, and rest periods
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuous professional development

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent)
  • Current and valid Paediatric First Aid certificate 
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
  • Excellent communication skills with children and adults
  • commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework 

Working Hours 

Monday 7:30-3
Tuesday 9-6
Wednesday 9-6
Thursday 8-6
Friday 7:30-3 

Paid lunch breaks of 30 mins for 6 hours and 60 mins for 8 hours plus
