Job Overview:

The Highway Delivery Team is seeking a Highway Operative to contribute to the delivery of essential highway works. This includes Routine Maintenance, Construction Schemes, Traffic Management, Winter Service provision, and more. If you have experience in highway work and a commitment to improving public roads for residents and visitors, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Perform highway maintenance tasks such as patching and remedial repairs.
Carry out construction and resurfacing for both small and major highway improvement projects.
Deploy traffic management measures on rural, urban, and high-speed road networks.
Participate in winter service operations as required.
Engage professionally with the public, ensuring clear and polite communication.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in highway maintenance, including patching and remedial repairs.
Experience in highway construction and resurfacing.
Knowledge of traffic management deployment in various environments.
Valid Class C1 or Class C driver’s license.
Ability to remain calm and professional when interacting with the public.
