THE ROLE
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for:
• Setting up and operating CNC milling machines with Siemens control systems
• Interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to precise tolerances
• Programming CNC machines using Siemens controls for optimal efficiency and accuracy
• Utilising offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and streamline machining processes
• Performing routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshooting technical issues as needed
• Conducting first-off inspections and verifying machined parts with precision measurement tools
• Collaborating with the quality assurance team to uphold strict quality standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights to optimise machining processes
THE PERSON
• At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines with Siemens controls
• Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, including metals and exotic alloys
• Experience with offline programming, especially with Alphacam, is highly advantageous
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD models accurately
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
