THE ROLE

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for:Ā 

ā€¢ Setting up and operating CNC milling machines with Siemens control systemsĀ 

ā€¢ Interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to precise tolerancesĀ 

ā€¢ Programming CNC machines using Siemens controls for optimal efficiency and accuracyĀ 

ā€¢ Utilising offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and streamline machining processesĀ 

ā€¢ Performing routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshooting technical issues as neededĀ 

ā€¢ Conducting first-off inspections and verifying machined parts with precision measurement toolsĀ 

ā€¢ Collaborating with the quality assurance team to uphold strict quality standardsĀ 

ā€¢ Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulationsĀ 

ā€¢ Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights to optimise machining processesĀ

THE PERSON

ā€¢ At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller in a manufacturing environmentĀ 

ā€¢ Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines with Siemens controlsĀ 

ā€¢ Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, including metals and exotic alloysĀ 

ā€¢ Experience with offline programming, especially with Alphacam, is highly advantageousĀ 

ā€¢ Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD models accuratelyĀ 

ā€¢ Skilled in using precision measurement tools and inspection techniquesĀ 

ā€¢ Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detailĀ 

ā€¢ Strong organisational and time management abilitiesĀ 

ā€¢ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamĀ
