This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled grinder with a strong background in metal grinding, particularly in surface grinding, to produce high-quality, finely-tuned components. The role demands a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and flexibility within a fast-paced machining environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct metal grinding operations using specialized equipment to produce quality-assured parts.
- Perform both surface and cylindrical grinding, with a strong emphasis on surface grinding to meet stringent tolerances.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with production standards.
- Consistently produce parts to precise quality and tolerance specifications, upholding high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support across the machine shop/factory as needed.
- Communicate and coordinate with team leaders, assisting on varied tasks as necessary to support efficient production.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience & Expertise: A time-served, highly skilled grinder with extensive experience in surface grinding within an engineering or manufacturing setting. Additional experience in cylindrical grinding is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to work from engineering drawings and meet fine tolerance requirements with precision.
- Work Ethic & Flexibility: Demonstrates flexibility with a willingness to work overtime as production demands require.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to quality and accuracy, ensuring all output aligns with strict standards.
