Cover Supervisor
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our team in Gateshead! As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the chance to work with students across various year groups, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students stay on task
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive atmosphere
Support students with their learning and answer any questions they may have
Provide feedback to teaching staff on students' progress and behaviour
Uphold the school’s policies, including safeguarding and health and safety

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting (desirable)
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different situations
A passion for education and supporting students' progress
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
