We are seeking a diligent and hardworking general operative to join our team on an exciting highway project in Birtley. This is a contract role with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the construction and maintenance of highways
- Operate machinery and tools as required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Support skilled tradespeople with various tasks
- Load and unload materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Previous experience in construction or highway maintenance is desirable
- Valid CSCS card
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
