Mechanical Fitter

Major Recruitment are searching for 2 x Mechanical Fitters for our client based in Gateshead. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

• Use of hand tools to put together, install, maintain and repair equipment and machinery
• Reading of mechanical drawings
• Self-inspection of work

Hours of work and pay rate:

• Monday to Thursday
• 07:30am till 17:15pm, 37 hours per week
• Earlier starts and finishes possible if needed
• 16.24 per hour, after 12 week probation an additional weekly allowance of 94.71 is paid
• Overtime available, x1.3 Monday to Friday, x1.5 Saturday and x2 Sunday

Successful candidates must have the following:

• Be time served
• Experience of sub assembly and build of small items essential
• Experience of build of larger components and machinery advantageous

For this role successful candidates will be expected to travel internationally to support service.
