Role Overview: We are seeking a talented Mechanical Fitter with a strong background in mechanical assembly and fitting. This role is crucial to our operations, involving hands-on work with both small and large components. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all builds meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Assembly: Work from detailed drawings to sub-assemble and build small items with precision and care.
- Larger Builds: Engage in the assembly of larger components and machinery, ensuring all parts are fitted accurately and efficiently.
- Self-Inspection: While not essential, experience in self-inspection is advantageous, enabling you to verify the quality and accuracy of your work.
- International Travel: Occasionally travel internationally to support service needs, providing expert assistance and ensuring our machinery performs optimally in various settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Time-Served Mechanical Fitter: Proven experience and a strong background in mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Proficiency with Drawings: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to carry out precise and effective builds.
- Sub-Assembly Expertise: Essential experience in sub-assembly and the building of small mechanical items.
- Advantageous Experience: Prior involvement in the assembly of larger components and machinery is a significant advantage.
- Self-Inspection Skills: While not required, the ability to self-inspect your work for quality assurance is beneficial.
- Willingness to Travel: Willing to travel internationally as needed to support our global operations.
Hourly rate is 16.24
37 hours per week -Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5.15pm - 4 DAY WORKING WEEK
