My client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join an expanding team on a permanent basis in the Gateshead area.

Package -

* Salary is between 15.74 - 16.24 depending on experience
* Day shift
* Monday - Thursday
* 07:30 - 17:15
* Overtime available during weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays at an enhanced rate

Duties -

* Mechanical fitting using the direction of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Work on precision parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
* Carry out Final Test and Commissioning on Part Completed or Completed Systems
* Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments
* Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
* Install, test and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors and valves
* Must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality

Experience -

* Experience across a range of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components
* Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
* Previous experience working with hydraulics
