This role is pivotal to our success, managing key areas such as service delivery, fulfilment, and warehousing.

The Role:As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the service, safety, and performance of all operational staff, as well as overseeing our warehouse operations. This includes ensuring the effective management of labour margins, health and safety, and stock security. You will be responsible for maintaining key performance metrics, reporting to the board, and driving efficiencies across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead and manage operational teams, including 4 Warehouse Managers, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with company goals.
  • Process & Efficiency Improvement: Continuously improve operational processes, driving efficiencies and innovation to enhance service delivery.
  • Labour Margin Management: Take full ownership of labour margin management, ensuring targets are met.
  • Service Planning: Oversee service planning to ensure smooth, on-time operations and fulfilment.
  • Metrics Monitoring: Ensure achievement of key performance metrics including:
    • On-time dispatch (99%)
    • In-full order processing (99%)
    • Stock accuracy (99%)
    • Labour margin (40%)
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • 5S Management: Implement and maintain 5S principles within warehouse and fulfilment operations.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed reports and data analysis to the COO and the board, offering insights and recommendations for operational improvements.

  • In-full order processing: 99%
  • Stock accuracy: 99%
  • Labour 40%

Special Working Conditions:

  • Occasional out-of-hours work may be required to meet urgent deadlines and handle critical call-outs.

About You:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse/fulfilment management.
  • Strong expertise in people and process management.
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and delivering against key operational metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
