Our client, a long established privately owned manufacturing business, are currently looking for an Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role will provide a Manufacturing Supervisor the opportunity to work with a well established business who have ambitious plans moving forward. With the recent opening of a new facility, you will be joining the business at an exciting growth phase of their journey.

This role offers an opportunity to work 4 days per week, Monday – Thursday.

The Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor

Working alongside the Operations Manager and Assistant Ops Manager, the Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for providing a hand on leadership role across all aspects of the productions facility.

Other responsibilities of the Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor will include:

  • Plan and schedule factory work to optimise resources and meet budget and quality standards.

  • Implement strategies to improve efficiency and ensure timely delivery.

  • Assist Operations Manager with production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and HR goals.

  • Manage daily production to meet targets and objectives.

  • Ensure staff follow health, safety, and operating procedures.

  • Use Lean tools to reduce costs and improve quality.

About You

As Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor, you will have proven experience of fostering a positive culture through effective communication and problem-solving. You will also be a confident leader with the ability to train teams, control absences, resolve safety issues, and motivate staff.

Other requirements include:

  • IT literate; experience with ERP or MRP systems is ideal.

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a modern manufacturing environment is essential.

  • Experience with modern manufacturing systems and tools.

  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
