If so, we want you on our team!We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join a dedicated staff at a specialised school in Gateshead. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children with profound learning difficulties and severe autism, offering personalized care and education to help them thrive.Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support to children with profound learning difficulties and severe autism.
Assist with daily activities, adapting tasks and routines to the individual needs of each child.
Create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes positive learning experiences.
Build strong, trusting relationships with the children to foster their independence and personal development.
Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure each child receives the appropriate level of care and assistance.

Requirements:

A caring, proactive, and nurturing attitude.
Patience and a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by children with severe autism and profound learning difficulties.
Previous experience in a disability support or SEN setting is desirable but not essential—what matters most is your commitment to helping children reach their potential.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to meet the needs of the children you support.
