My client is a nationwide, well-established Managed Service Provider with 10 offices across the UK. They are highly regarded in the industry, with outstanding ratings on Trustpilot and Glassdoor. Due to continued growth, they're looking to welcome another engineer into their technical team.

Telecoms Engineer (3rd Line)
£35,000 + £40,000
Gateshead/Onsite
Daily Duties:
- Providing expert 3rd line support for telecom systems, including VoIP, SIP, PSTN, and mobile networks.
- Diagnosing and resolving escalated technical issues, ensuring long-term solutions through root cause analysis.
- Configuring, maintaining, and monitoring telecom equipment and systems.
- Leading or participating in telecom projects such as upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
- Managing critical incidents and conducting post-incident reviews.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and training materials for support teams.
Tech Stack:
- Telecom systems: VoIP, SIP, PSTN, and mobile networks.
- Networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Diagnostic and monitoring tools.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom support, with at least 2 years in a 3rd line or expert-level role.
- A full UK driving license and the right to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of telecom protocols, systems, and compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP or CompTIA Network+ (preferred).
