As a dedicated recruitment consultant, we are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder on behalf of a valued client, a prominent player in the metal fabrication industry. Our client specializes in bespoke metal fabrication services, catering to a variety of sectors including automotive, construction, and heavy machinery. THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented MIG Welder to join our client’s dynamic fabrication team. The successful candidate will be involved in the welding and assembly of various metal components, ensuring all products meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on a range of metal components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
  • Conduct inspections of welds to ensure adherence to company quality standards and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on welding equipment and report any issues promptly.

THE EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a MIG Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using welding equipment, tools, and safety gear.
  • Keen attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices in a welding and fabrication environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime when required.

THE CONTRACT
