Our client specializes in bespoke metal fabrication services, catering to a variety of sectors including automotive, construction, and heavy machinery. THE ROLE
We are looking for a talented MIG Welder to join our client’s dynamic fabrication team. The successful candidate will be involved in the welding and assembly of various metal components, ensuring all products meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on a range of metal components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
- Conduct inspections of welds to ensure adherence to company quality standards and specifications.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on welding equipment and report any issues promptly.
THE EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a MIG Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using welding equipment, tools, and safety gear.
- Keen attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in a welding and fabrication environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime when required.
THE CONTRACT
This is a temporary-to-permanent role, with the opportunity for the right candidate to secure a long-term position based on performance and company needs.
THE SALARY
The position offers a competitive hourly rate, with additional opportunities for overtime pay.
