They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Estimator who is ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to their continued success.

Job Summary:

They are looking for a seasoned Construction Estimator who brings a wealth of experience, a strong work ethic, and a hands-on approach to the role. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately estimate costs for construction projects, including materials, labour, and time, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to engage deeply in all aspects of the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.

Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive estimates.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and clarify project scope.

Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.

Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing.

Continuously update and refine cost databases and estimating tools to ensure accurate and current pricing.

Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to the development of project schedules.

Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.

Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle to identify any deviations from the original estimate.

Provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in large scale construction.

Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes.

Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.

Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
