Job Title: Student Support Advisor - ASAP START

Location: Gillingham (free parking available)

Salary: £12.93/hr

Contract Details: 3 Month Temporary position, 37 hours per week, Term Time only (0800 - 1600)

Our client, a dynamic educational organisation based in Gillingham, is seeking a motivated Student Support Advisor to join their team. The role is a 3 month contract to cover maternity leave. The role is based in a large school trust that can offer lots of opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the Sixth Form Support team, providing pastoral support and guidance to students
  • Create a purposeful study environment, supervising and maintaining the student study area
  • Support students in developing effective study skills and independent research skills
  • Contribute to the promotion of enrichment and progression activities for Post 16 students
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and behaviour, ensuring compliance with school policies
  • Assist in the accurate maintenance of data and other administrative tasks related to the sixth form

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working in a school environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
  • Flexible, caring, and positive attitude

  • Recent DBS check
