We are seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor in ICT to join our educational team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality ICT education and empowering students with essential skills.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons to diverse groups of learners, ensuring all students are able to progress.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet individual and group educational needs.
- Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Stay updated with the latest educational technologies and incorporate them into teaching practices to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with other educational staff to plan and coordinate educational content and to discuss students' learning progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and ICT knowledge.
- A recognised teaching qualification in the UK (e.g., PGCE, CertEd).
- Experience in teaching ICT or a related subject.
- Strong understanding of the functional skills curriculum and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
