Experienced School Administrator - Full-Time, Secondary School (Medway, Kent)

Location: Medway, Kent

Position: Full-Time, 5 Days Per Week

Role: Administrator / School Reception

We are seeking an experienced School Administrator to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in the Medway area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with prior experience working in a school office or reception, who is looking for a long-term role in a supportive and well-established environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily school administration tasks, including answering calls and emails, welcoming visitors, and providing general office support
  • Oversee student attendance, ensuring accurate records and communication with parents and guardians
  • Update and maintain student databases and files
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and record-keeping
  • Provide support to staff and senior leadership as needed
  • Handle enquiries and ensure smooth operation of the school office
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documents as required

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school office or school reception is essential
  • Strong understanding of school systems, processes, and student attendance procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office software
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with staff, students, and parents
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and maintain a professional, calm approach
