Supply Desk are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving grammar school in Chatham. We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher with experience in teaching French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4 students. This full-time, long-term position starts in January 2025 and will run at least until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking and supportive grammar school, delivering engaging and creative French and Spanish lessons to motivated KS3 and KS4 students. This role requires a skilled teacher who can inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for language learning and achieving excellent academic outcomes. Full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, and participation in school activities, are integral to this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and well-structured French and Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Plan and prepare lessons that are creative, inclusive, and meet the needs of all learners.
• Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress and attainment.
• Promote a positive and dynamic learning environment that encourages language development.
• Contribute to the school’s curriculum and uphold its values, high expectations, and policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the MFL department and school culture.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Be a qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching both French and Spanish to KS3/4.
• Demonstrate adaptability, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
• Have a proven ability to inspire, engage, and challenge students to achieve their best.
• Show excellent classroom management, planning, and organisational skills.
• Have a nurturing approach and a passion for promoting a love of languages.
• Hold a valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
