Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: Sittingbourne

About Us: Our school is specialist independent schools catering to students aged 11 to 19 who face significant barriers to learning or cannot access mainstream education. Many of our students are referred by Local Authorities and have an Educational Health and Care Plan. Some students are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream schools, while others have already been excluded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality physical education lessons tailored to the needs of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages physical activity and promotes overall well-being.
  • Develop individualized fitness plans to support students' physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and ensure compliance during all physical activities.
