Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

Location - Gillingham

Daily Rate - £90 - £100 depending on experience

Start - ASAP - full time ongoing

Tradewind Recruitment are actively looking for a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a student with SEMH within a mainstream secondary school in Gillingham - the role is to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis for as long as the support is required. The daily rate is between £90 and £100 a day depending on experience.

The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Provide 1-1 support to a student with SEMH needs ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans, adapting activities and resources as necessary
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a positive outcome for the student

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people with additional needs or have a background in the care sector
  • Strong communication skills
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
