No prior experience is required - we are seeking individuals with a genuine desire to support students with special educational needs and to help them thrive in their learning environment.
As a 1:1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to meet their unique needs. You will help them with academic tasks and emotional development, all while fostering a positive and supportive relationship that encourages independence and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated, one-on-one support to a student with special educational needs
- Assist the student with classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and can access the curriculum at their pace
- Offer emotional and behavioural support, building trust and confidence
- Help with mobility needs as required, ensuring the student's comfort and well-being
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe and inclusive environment for the student
