Brightwork's client is currently recruiting a Maintenance Team Leader who will supervise and participate in the work of the Maintenance Team responsible for the maintenance of all plant equipment, machinery and related facilities.

You will ensure Maintenance Team and Contractor work quality and practice adheres to established policies and procedures as well as assisting the Maintenance Team Leader with the leadership and development of the Maintenance Team and allocation of workload on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of the maintenance team responsible for maintenance of plant including repair and installation of all plant equipment (electronic, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment). Ensure PAS110 tasks are carried out (as required).

With the Maintenance Planner establish schedules and methods for providing maintenance and repair services

Identify resource needs; review needs with the Maintenance Team Leader and Production Leader - allocate resources accordingly.

Arrange and monitor external contractors as required to complete allocated workload. Raise, authorise and issue Permits to Work under the Safe System of Work.

Be involved in root cause analysis investigations for reactive and emergency maintenance to help prevent recurrence of the issue.

Participate in the development of policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.

Ensure required maintenance data is entered accurately and on time into the CMMS and complete any other maintenance records/logs as required accurately and on time.

Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for the Maintenance Team; implement approved policies and procedures. Assist the Maintenance Team Leader with the interview process and competency assessment of any new employees to the Maintenance Team.

Supervise the day-to-day maintenance of the plant, provide solutions utilising own knowledge, expertise and the skill set of the maintenance team to complete more complex technical tasks.

Ensure that opportunities for continual improvement for systems and processes identified are communicated to the

Maintenance Team Leader and be actively involved in the implementation of continual improvement projects.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Experience within a similar industry working under the remit of CompEx/ATEX regulations

Knowledge and experience of the operation and maintenance of similar plant/equipment

Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS)

Experience raising, authorising and issuing Permits to Work

HNC/HND in either an electrical, mechanical or control & instrumentation discipline

Full UK Driving Licence
