Due to an enhanced period of growth, Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of an Accountant based in Glasgow city centre paying a highly competitive salary, bonus & excellent benefits! The Opportunity This highly commercial business on a fantastic growth trajectory hence the creation of a new Accountant position. It’s an employer that is known for hiring the highest calibre of finance professionals, and has an excellent reputation for it’s internal mobility programme where it encourages aspiring finance professionals to layer internally to gain a greater depth of experience & exposure to various functions of finance & operations. The successful individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial reporting and accounting operations. This role is specifically targeted an individual at the part-qualified to finalist level, and seeking their first inhouse move from an Accountancy Practice/Firm. The successful candidate could come from a variety of Firms including Big 4, Top 10 or Mid-Tier and the employer is open to either Audit or Business Advisory.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results
  • Oversee the maintenance of financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented individual who can ensure accurate client reports reconciliations
  • Present financial statements to management and external stakeholders
  • Develop and Lead implement processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and accounting operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial analysis and insights
    Qualifications:
  • Part-Qualified Accountants (ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW or CIMA)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
