Role: Client Accountant

You will have responsibility for accounts preparation, preparation of the monthly management accounts, and reconciling the bank accounts
This opportunity requires a confident accountancy professional to work in cross-collaboration with different departments
Our client is ideally looking for someone with 3 years' experience in a similar role who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to thrive within a high-profile role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Invoicing and processing of invoices
- Support with VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding for property-related expenses
- Liaise with internal managers and other departments to ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly
- Reconciling petty cash
- Administration of payments to suppliers and staff
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, including trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheet
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and asset registers
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the firm's portfolios
- Handle tenant rent payments, reconciliations, and arrears management
- Support in the preparation of service charge accounts
- Ensuring clear audit trail and liaising with accountants where required
- Processing of monthly payroll and associated PAYE
Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full working knowledge of Sage 50 accounting and payroll software
- Good Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Use own initiative to manage workload
