Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s market-leading client is keen to add a Client Accountant to the current team on a permanent role in Guernsey, Channel Islands.This excellent opportunity will involve working primarily for the leading and developing finance function provision in a timely and accurate financial information. This role is ideal for an individual who can bring new ideas and help lead and deliver to senior management and our wider business ambitions. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Finance Director.Key duties of the role include:
  • Support the Finance Director in driving the delivery, utilisation and efficiency of financial processes and resources.
  • Preparation of consolidated and month-end management accounts including Balance sheet, P&L and cashflow under tight reporting deadlines.
  • Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of the trial balance and journal preparation including accruals and prepayments.
  • Preparation of adhoc financial analysis to allow the management team to make well-informed and strategic decisions.
  • Year-end reporting requirements and external audit processes assistance when necessary.
  • Provide support and assistance when required to junior colleagues.
 Qualifications:
  • ICAS /ICAEW/ ACCA /CIMA or Equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system-related queries.
  • Understanding of IFRS and GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with various computer accounting software packages and proficient in using Microsoft Word/Excel
