Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Financial Accountant for our client, a growing business based in Lanarkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or a professional who is qualified by experience to join a dynamic team, playing a key role in the financial operations and contributing to the organisation's success.

Overview

As a Financial Accountant, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the month-end timetable and providing key management information. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing key balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.
  • Completing bank reconciliations with precision and timeliness.
  • Supporting month-end processes and contributing to the development of management information suites.
  • Handling ad hoc financial duties as required to support the team.

Skills & Experience

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, with the ability to work with complex formulas and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAGE is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
