Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting one of our clients in Stirling to support with the recruitment of their new Financial Controller and join our dynamic Finance team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified individual to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 The Financial Controller will ensure compliance with all accounting and product costing requirements, enhancing business performance through robust financial management and strategic insight.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Developing and maintaining robust financial processes, finance systems, and IT systems in conjunction with others in the business unit
  • Ensuring the financial reporting of the P&L and Balance Sheet aligns with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Responsible for preparing annual budgets and regular forecasting
  • Liaising with key stake holders & Directors to assist with the interpretation of results, explain variances, and enhance business performance
  • Providing expert knowledge & guidance on costs, cost drivers, and cash management to support appropriate commercial decision-making
  • Overseeing the monthly payroll and quarterly VAT filings
  • Identifying commercially astute opportunities across all areas of the business to contribute towards a sustainable financial model

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professionally qualified in finance or a related field
  • Ability to positively influence and work collaboratively with key business stakeholders, including Commercial and IT teams
  • Strong IT Skills - digital transformation & ERP implementations
