Exclusive role - Financial Controller - PE backed Technology - Glasgow (hybrid working, 3 days in)

Following our appointment of the new CFO for an ambitious Private Equity backed Tech business, Cedar have been retained to find them a number 2, to join the CFO as their Financial Controller.

The CFO is looking for a proactive business partner with the drive to lead improvements across finance and support the CFO to grow the business. This is a hands-on role in an international SME <£50m revenue, with responsibility across all accounting, financial and management reporting. The role and team will grow over the long-term, eventually supporting the CFO in taking the business through a sale over the next 5 years.

The broad FC role will manage a small team covering transactional finance and month-end, lead the year-end and audit process, support FP&A, as well as partner the CFO on M&A, Strategic and Commercial Finance.

If you are looking to step-up into a true FC role, training under an impressive CFO with international experience - gaining experience across the full breadth of finance - as well as gaining Private Equity experience working with an impressive PE firm, then this is the real deal!

Essential criteria to be considered for this role:

  • An accountancy qualification - such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong experience of Financial / Management Accounting
  • A true people person - someone with the confidence to influence and build relationships with Senior stakeholders
  • A self-starter - someone who is comfortable taking the reins and making decisions with autonomy working in a hybrid working environment.
