Reed Finance is working with a key client based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Group Accountant. This position would be ideal for a newly/recently qualified accountant. There is hybrid working of three days in the office and the rest from home.
The role works closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, to assist them with monthly and annual reporting requirements including the consolidation of group results. The role is also responsible for all aspects of the accounting of the group’s central costs and cashflow forecasting.
The main responsibilities the position entails are:
- Overall responsibility for the budget, forecasts and management accounts for central functions
- Reporting on budgeted costs, allocations and variances
- Responsible for short and long-term cashflow forecasts
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts for group subsidiaries
- Monthly consolidation of the Group’s results
To be considered for the position you must possess the following:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAS)
- Ideally newly/recently qualified
- Strong financial reporting skills
- Sound technical knowledge
