The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a Glasgow based, world renowned organisation in the recruitment of a management accountant for a 9-12 month contract.

The vacancy is a result of a structure change within the organisation, will report into the head of finance and will form part of the management accounting team.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to support the business in the prompt and accurate production of management accounting information. The role holder will work with various stakeholders within the business and will be responsible for producing meaningful information that the board can use to make informed decisions.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis, full commentary and balance sheet and cash flow forecast.

Maintenance and development the suit of management accounting reports.

Investigation of variances within the management accounts and work with colleagues/internal stakeholders to establish explanations.

Work with budget holders to review historical budgets and forecast future financial goals.

Review of the current management accounting coding structure and develop these in a new ERP system being implemented.

Support budget holders with specific management accounting processes such as business case production, bid`s and proposals and specific budget allocation projects.

Assistance in the preparation of statutory accounts.

The RequirementsWe are ideally seeking a professionally qualified accountant who is available at short notice. Whilst the individual will be office based 1 day a week (subject to probationary period), we are seeking a candidate who is based on the Scottish Central belt. We are seeking a highly experienced accountant who has prior experience of producing management accounts, producing the written commentary around variances and someone who can engage professionally with senior stakeholders within the business. Strong attention to detail, communication skills and professionalism are core competencies required for this post.
