iMultiply is partnering with an established and successful accountancy practice, based in central Glasgow, that is entering the next phase of its growth journey. As a result of this recent growth the firm now requires an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a team within the accounts department, enjoying client contact and liaising with staff of varied experience levels to complete tasks in a supportive, friendly environment.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Being the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients
  • The preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts and various forecasts
  • Overseeing VAT compliance
  • Proactively advising clients on the most appropriate in house software packages
  • Allocating work to and reviewing the work of junior members of the team
  • Taking on ad hoc analysis and project work
  • Direct client contact will be a feature of the role so candidates should be comfortable with and enjoy this aspect of work.

The Person:

  • At least four years experience of financial accounts preparation obtained within an accountancy practice environment
  • Experience using IRIS, SAGE and Xero would be beneficial.
  • Qualified ICAS/ACCA (or equivalent) or 'Qualified by Experience'
