Meraki Talent are assisting on the permanent appointment of a Mixed Tax Senior for a well-established firm in the heart of Glasgow.The CompanyOur client has been operating within the Scottish Accountancy market for a number of decades. During this time, they have built a diverse and loyal client base, working closely to develop and maintain strong relationships while striving to provide help and support in their journey towards success.The RoleAs a Mixed Tax Senior, the successful candidate will work within more than one discipline, including Personal and Corporate, there is also the possibility of operating within indirect tax and specialist taxes.On Offer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Corporate Tax, you will be responsible for preparing corporation tax computations and returns, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's tax position.
  • Personal Tax, you will assist clients in fulfilling their tax responsibilities by preparing and submitting tax returns and any required documentation.
  • Indirect Tax, you will engage in communications with HMRC and assist colleagues by conducting research on VAT-related technical queries.

The firm will help your professional development, you will:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of clients' businesses to offer suitable tax guidance when applicable.
  • Acquire the ability to gather necessary information from both clients and other departments while fostering strong communication.
  • Build comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and how they apply to each client's specific situation, collaborating with Partners and Directors on advisory and planning initiatives.
  • Engage directly with clients, nurturing and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Experience

  • Experience within an accountancy firm
  • Minimum 2 years of mixed / personal tax experience
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
