Field Service Maintenance Fitter Mechanic Engineer East and West Scotland

Our client is a renowned distributor of sports ground maintenance machinery; they supply product, spares and maintenance contracts.  Due to an ever expanding customer base, they now have the need for an Engineer for both the West and also for the East of Scotland. Our client’s provides the service of grass and ground care equipment throughout the UK, this role requires applicants to fault find and repair their customer’s equipment in the field.

The Role:

This is a field service role where you will be involved in the service and repair of a variety of machines grass and ground care equipment such as Turf Cutters, Seeders, Aerators, Tractors, Mowers and Golf Buggies. Our clients customers are large estates, golf courses, parks and business parks as well as to general industry. You will travel to our clients customers and become the representative of their business, as well as the hands on aspect of the role you will be the one that forms the on-going relationship with the customer, you will find out more about the customers problems and advise them how you can help. You will be working on systems that have both electric and combustion engines, pneumatics and hydraulics systems.   Our client has a massive product portfolio including some of the world’s best known brands.  They have a total commitment to customer service and to the development of business relationships based upon trust and credibility.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have a experience in electric motors, diesel and petrol engines, pneumatics, hydraulics and be from a maintenance, serivce and repair background. Experience working on products similar to our clients (Turf Cutters, Seeders, Aerators, Tractors, Mowers and Golf Buggies)  would be of benefit, however plant hire or agriculture service experience will be considered. All applicants must be able to drive and be able to communicate at all levels.

You will receive a package based on a £28-35k basic salary and OT, Company Vehicle, Pension, Life Insurance and 30 days holiday.
