Our client is searching for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing small liquid pumps or other precision fluid handling systems. You will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working from a state-of-the-art facility in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in developing next-generation fluid handling systems that drive innovation in the chemical manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop small liquid pumps and precision fluid handling systems for innovative chemical processes.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, chemists, and software developers, to create custom solutions tailored to specific applications.
- Perform detailed mechanical design work, including CAD modeling, prototyping, and testing.
- Oversee and participate in all stages of product development, from concept through to production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing small liquid pumps, microfluidic devices, or other precision fluid handling systems.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Experience in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
