Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent and lucrative opportunity for a Machine Operator to join an international manufacturing company in the Glasgow region.

What's on Offer:

  • A straight to permanent role.
  • A £11.53 to 15.38/hr basic rate.
  • A 40hr work week.
  • OT potential at 1.5X
  • Rota shift of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm Mon to Fri
  • The chance to work directly under a CNC Machinist and learn the trade

This role will require you to follow engineering specs and produce components to industrial standards as well as continually communicate with the shop floor supervisor and assist the CNC Miller.

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must:

  • Be able to adhere to HSE standards
  • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacture to required tolerances
  • Prior experience in production or manufacturing machine operation is a necessity
  • Prior experience in CNC is desirable but not necessary
