Please note this is an initial 3-month contract that has been deemed INSIDE IR35 with the requirement to be onsite once a week.

  • Programme Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Salesforce implementation programme in a public sector context.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate multiple project teams (including internal teams and external SI) to deliver integrated Salesforce solutions. Oversee project inter-dependencies, resource allocation, and schedule management across all workstreams.
  • Scope & Delivery Management: Manage programme scope, timelines, and budget. Ensure that all projects within the programme are delivered on time, within budget, and with the desired quality and benefits. Implement a robust change process.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior stakeholders (up to Director General level) to align programme outcomes with organisational objectives. Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication, regular updates, and involvement in governance forums.
  • Extensive programme management experience: Demonstrated experience (ideally 8+ years in the public sector) in leading and delivering complex IT or digital transformation programmes.
  • Salesforce implementation expertise: Significant hands-on experience managing Salesforce projects or programmes. Familiarity with Salesforce capabilities (e.g. Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) and how they can be applied in a public sector context is crucial.
  • Public sector background: Strong experience working within or for the UK public sector (central government/Arm’s length bodies). Experience delivering projects under government frameworks or standards (e.g. Cabinet Office/GDS guidelines).
  • Leadership and delivery skills: Proven ability to manage programme budgets, multiple project streams, and cross-functional teams. A track record of delivering programmes on schedule and within budget, while achieving defined outcomes and benefits.
  • Stakeholder & vendor management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior government officials and steering committees. Ability to manage third-party vendors and systems integrators, ensuring accountability and performance.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Able to produce clear documentation, deliver effective presentations to senior leadership, and facilitate discussions across both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in identifying project risks and issues and driving creative solutions within the constraints of public sector policies.
