People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in the Newton Heath area.

Rates of Pay:

• Basic: £17.00 per hour
• Friday : £17.55 per hour
• Sunday : £20.35 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)
• Operate and drive various 3.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a 3.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category B vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Must have good knowledge of UK road network
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

**Please note for this role you will be required to provide us with details so we can process a Disclosure Scotland Check for the client & you must be able to provide reference's for your last 5 years work history**

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial

Training

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• You will be coupled up with another driver for up to 1 week for training
