VAN DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY:

£13.42 PER HOUR BASIC

£20.13 PER HOUR OVERTIME

People Solutions are looking for a Van Driver for our client based in Cambuslang.

You must undergo a DS Check for this role, and you must have a full five years traceable work history.

Day to Day Duties

• Driving delivery vans safely and efficiently
• Conducting vehicle inspections
• Delivering parcels to customer's homes and businesses
• Your route will be planned according to delivery timeslots for customers
• Your route will be loaded onto a hand-held unit, with the route mapped out according to delivery slots
• You will be delivering between 65 -80 parcels, but this is made easier by being programmed into the hand-held unit
• Achievable targets due to customers having already been allocated a timeslot for the delivery

Essential Skills

• Must have held a valid UK Category B Driving Licence for at least one year
• No major endorsements: no DD, DR or IN's or any major endorsements due to client's insurance
• No more than six points for minor infringements
• ** Please note for this role you will be required to provide us with details so we can process a Disclosure Scotland Check for the client
• ** You will have five years traceable work history **

Desirable Experience

• Multi drop experience / courier delivery experience preferred but not essential

Training

• You will receive training that will involved accompanying another driver for up to one week to observe
