Hunky Dory Dining group are now looking for an experienced Head Chef to join the team and work on the development and opening of a new restaurant concept.

A solid background in Asian and Chinese cuisine is a must, along with knowledge of wok cookery.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience leading a kitchen team in a high-quality operation.
  • Be driven and focused on first class standards across every aspect of the operation.
  • Have shown loyalty and longevity throughout their career.
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Have excellent personal presentation and be consummately professional at all times.

We will task you with:

  • Leading and looking after your team training & supervision, mentoring, coaching and succession planning.
  • Menu development, creating batch and dish recipes and specifications.
  • Menu costing and allergens.
  • Implementing and managing robust operating procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards and allergen awareness.
  • Maintaining a hygienic, well organised, and a safe working environment.
  • Overseeing and managing food ordering and costs.
  • Implementing and maintaining SOPs, portion control, plating standards, and waste management records to maximise efficiencies and profitability.
